(20,629 posts)I've known a few of those over the course of all my years in the corporate world, and I think that these types are some of the lowest form of sub-human scum inhabiting the planet.

(15,805 posts)of a former employer who, having dined in restaurants, deemed himself suited to own one. He had never held a job in food service, yet never withheld loud criticism of employees who were actually doing their jobs correctly. He was known for public tantrums in which he would berate his workers, followed by bellowed insinuations about them as they walked out the door. He loved to whine about how his "over-paid" minimum wage employees were unappreciative of his largesse, then he'd change the pay schedule so they wouldn't get their December checks until after Christmas. He really enjoyed telling people that he was "a self-made man", even though it was common knowledge that he had nothing until he married. On his best day he was a slimy template for insincerity in all things.

(4,119 posts)....how is it that he can run for president if he was born in Canada?

(90,714 posts)The fact that Barack Obama's mother is a US citizen by birth is actually irrelevant to the legality of his presidency, because President Obama was himself born in the USA and not in another country. He's black, but that can't possibly have anything to do with GOP attitudes toward him.
But did I mention Cruz is white? So white he practically glows like something bred in a cave? So being born in another country is entirely irrelevant to the GOP -- just like John McCain being born in Panama.

If you have not researched Dominionism, I would encourage you to.
These people are gaining way too much power in this country.

(4,119 posts)Liberals never thought Obama was the Messiah! We aren't insane that way! We saw a highly intelligent person qualified to be president.
I swear there is rampant mental illness among the right wing. In fact they make those who have been diagnosed as mentally ill seem normal.

(90,714 posts)It's extremely important for understanding a powerful segment of the GOP base, including the home-school movement, the religious colleges their kids go to, and how the graduates of those colleges are funneled into staffer positions in the US Congress, where they learn the ropes...

(34,111 posts)I can't look at him. Something inside me wraps up and coils in revulsion. It is a total gut reaction with a shiver or two thrown in. That is all without knowing what he stands for. Knowing what he stands for....my governor is a dominionist, I know what that means to me. He is so far from anyone capable of being a leader that I just can't even imagine.
