Been Trying to Confirm My Marketplace Plan All Evening –

Anyone else having trouble?

I got all the way through having "selected" a plan, but it looks like I also need to "review," "confirm," and "enroll" – but the website seems to be insisting that I also purchase dental coverage, even though it says that's optional.

Elsewhere on the site, it says my application is complete and all I need to do is pay, but I have to do it directly through the insurer, and they'll send me an invoice.

It also says,

My plans & programs
[Plan selected]
Status: Initial Enrollment

[Plan selected]
Status: Cancelled (coverage ended on 01/01/2016)

–– That last bit is worrying!

The NY state exchange is horrible; I finally called them (waited on hold about 20 minutes) but I'm so glad I did - the rep breezed through my app for me and got me set up on the spot. If you have the time to wait on hold, I'd consider calling them. Good luck. This is a very stupid way to go about providing health insurance!
