"Kick his ass!" "Shoot him!" "Bitch!" "Sieg Heil!"

Last edited Tue Dec 15, 2015, 01:54 PM - Edit history (8)

The vitriolic hate, xenophobia and outright fascism exhibited by Trump and his supporters make it abundantly clear that more than just a vote for “the other candidate” is in order: Trump and all that he stands for must be rebuked, denounced and shunned in the name of decency and civilization.

Now.

Trump Audience Member Yells Nazi Salute as Protester Removed From Las Vegas Rally

As one man was dragged away, Trump supporters variously yelled, "Shoot him!" "Kick his ass," and "Light the motherf----r on fire!"

A large middle aged man shouted, "Sieg heil!" — a Nazi Germany-era salute — as the protester was taken away.

Donald Trump Rally Turns Ugly: 'Light That Motherf**ker On Fire!'

A Las Vegas rally for Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump turned ugly Monday night, the eve of a Republican presidential debate, after multiple protesters interrupted the candidate's speech.

According to reporters at the event, held at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort and Casino, protesters clashed with security guards as they were escorted from the room. Some of the protesters appeared to be Black Lives Matter activists and gun control supporters.

At one point, as security guards attempted to remove a black man from the rally, an attendee said, “Light that motherfucker on fire!”

MSNBC: “Some Donald Trump supporters attending the Republican presidential candidate’s rally in Las Vegas on the eve of the next GOP debate treated protesters with unusual hatred Monday night. Some screamed, pointed, and at one point shoved a heckler as hotel security swooped in to remove them. The "Seig Heil" was probably directed at the protestors because to this ilk, the activists would be the fascists.

At least i hope so.

It doesn't make sense for people who claim they're not fascists to use a clearly fascist phrase. They claim they're not racist and they claim their loathing of Obama has nothing to do with his race, while conveniently ignoring the positive developments compared to where we were in January of 2009. They wouldn't out themselves quite so obviously.

So, it has to be something like that.

at a political rally is a good idea are people for whom even Trump is not far enough to the right. On the other hand, it's not unusual at all to hear Nazi references when guards in uniforms come to take people away.

Even Trump would disassociate himself from that at the speed of light.

Karma is a bitch dude. I suspect right now this guy is praying, to whatever hideous being he sees as omnipotent (certainly not God), that no one finds out who he is. You can bet he never planned on the nation listening on national tv to his malevolent plea to a rabid crowd to set alight another human being. If he is an exemplar of Trump supporters I pity the world that would exist under Trumplican rule.

some if not all of his hecklers have been plants. Starting with that first guy that called Obama a terrorist and asked him what he was going to do about it. Trumps poll numbers jump every time he confronts one of them. I don't have a cable, but I was at a friends house last night just in time to catch the police dept union endorsing him. I know its taboo to mention Hitler but damned if it doesn't look like Trump really does have his brown shirts now.

What is just as scary are a few of the comments. Most of the commenters are sane moderates or Dems, but a few are Trump supporters and see nothing wrong with any of this.

When did we become a nation half-filled with haters????

Edited to add: the GOP, through their agitators like Limbaugh and Hannity, have been planting the seeds of hatred years ago. I used to call hannity and taunt him, ask him how much he made, why he was for tax cuts for the rich, but what about his audience. He and Limbaugh used to call Dems the "enemy" before 9/11. The GOP has fostered and coaxed the worst out of people for years, but knew they had to keep it undercover, using dog whistle phrases. Trump is out in the open with it all. I still do sometimes wonder if this is a big experiment by him, like "The Wave" experiment done by that teacher. But then reality kicks in, and I realize his narcissistic ego is being fueled by the adulation of these idiots who follow him. And he keeps upping the ante.

I don't know which is scarier - the candidate, or his supporters. I know I risk being slammed for committing an act of Godwin's Law. But, in this case, it really is appropriate: This is exactly how the Nazi regime gained steam. Totally accurate analogy. Let's learn from history, shall we?

If anyone has the fortitude to do it, I think progressives should start a new "thing" where we go to Trump rallies in larger and larger numbers each time. Protest with BLM inspiration and the like and get their dander up in larger and larger dust-ups each time. These pricks think that by being so violent and intolerant that they're making these interruptions rarer and that people will be afraid to disrupt in the future.

We should make these dust-ups an actual cause to protest with greater virulence rather than a cause to stay away.

I understand the importance of protesting and getting the message out. It makes sense for BLM to show up at Democratic events because the left is at least willing to listen and change. Even protesting at mainstream GOP events make sense -they may be reluctant for self-examination and change, but you have a chance at reaching someone reasonable.

But this Trump mess - everyone knows what a racist asshole he is. His supporters don't care - actually their reason to support him. They are completely entrenched in hatred. I don't say this lightly or for hyperbole - but these rallies are a lynch mob waiting to happen.

LGBT, women, people of color, Muslims, non-crazed people of any religion, atheists, people capable of intellectual thought, children, animals - no one should go near these vile bigoted xenophobic racist misogynistic homophobic assholes. At least not alone or in small numbers.

The MSM is giddy with anticipation for the chance to cover some horrific tragedy at one of these events.

You aren't doing this personally, but after a barrage of comments like that that followed BLM harassing Bernie and Hillary, I am only capable of reading your comment ironically.
