(13,877 posts)state, greased some palms, like most. I think it may either be Bush Fatigue or he's in it because the family thought it was his turn. Back in Ws time, it was common knowledge they would have rather run Jeb, but he was too young.

Florida is not a good reference for his smarts, he had a lot of money behind him. Remember they just re-elected a convicted criminal.

Frankly, this "billionaires own us! We're not a democracy!" stuff is a bit overblown.

(13,877 posts)to put family on the backburner for a time. It costs a lot from the person and that's what donors have to figure out...and even that can change. Now they just want to know who's in it to win it, asses the odds, and throw the dice.
It is a bit overblown, as in Trump. He can make a fuss and a furor with his money, but he'll be smart enough to know when to get out. He's the epitome of the Donor Class...in front row action.
