Is there a reason to watch the Republican debate?

I'm really conflicted about this. I really, really don't want to watch these clowns, but I feel like I should watch it for myself because I know I can't trust what the media will tell me happened. What are you all planning to do? Watching or not?

Much as I can't stand any of them, Cruz is the one that I find most painful to watch. He's not even good for a laugh.

If one (or more) of the candidates gets shot dead by a beloved gun, we'll see clips of it. Otherwise, what else about the debate is worth watching?

They're not going to say anything that changes your vote. There's no need to know quickly, unless you're debating somewhere which includes independents, during or immediately after the debate and you need "this is why they're all awful" facts. If any one of them says something more ridiculous or hateful than they have before, you'll find out soon enough, and you can tell others about it later.

There's nothing that any of them are going to say that I don't already know, and they are not going to change my mind.

Drink a shot each time someone says "ISIS", "radical Islamic terrorists" or "Clinton-Obama administration" and you'll be drunk by the end of the first hour.

Or just go to a sports bar to get drunk watching "The Game" (whatever sport you're into), and avoid the whole mess.

That's why the FSM and Al Gore created the intertubes, so you can go to DU and find out what happened.

A couple of them are reasonably sharp, like Kasich and Christie, but whenever there's a danger they might turn the conversation down some useful avenue, like job creation or water conservation in their state, the moderator will toss out a hunk of red meat like ISIS or gay marriage and they'll all take turns tearing into it to prove their RW lunacy. It gets predictable.

I watched one, and part of another, but it was simply a waste of my time. They all come off so smug and arrogant, and they never really give any idea of what they would actually do, especially Trump. Cruz makes me sick just watching him talk, Rubio is a great BSer and hasn't a clue what he is talking about, Bush is just the "dumber"Bush, and the whole clown car sucks big time.

Nope no reason to watch I can hear all about it later here on DU.
