most of us not here, of course.

Then add in all the moderate and establishment Republicans and left-leaning "independents" who are also scared of this lineup of extremists and incompetent flakes.

BTW, I was reading that Trump supporters are only HALF of the wingnuts his particular brand should appeal to. He's not doing nearly as well as people imagine.

There's not ONE in the Republican group that doesn't scare me to death. Not a single one that even seems remotely better than any other in my view.

We cannot allow them to win. I'll vote for the Democratic candidate.

We definitely need to support the hell out of whoever the Dems nominate.

Normally I use the appeal that, if another Republican gets elected, then the 2 or 3 Republican Scotus Justices who are over 65 will quit and they'll rotate in a new crop of 40 year old neocons. That's not the argument any more.

This time around, we're actually trying to stop a fascist getting in. Not a fake "Oh the Bush family once invested money in Germany so they're all closet Nazis" type of Alex Jones bullshit (anyone who told you Dubya was a fascist was an idiot). No Trump has already said, he's an actual round up the minorities and lock up the protestors sort of fascist. I have no doubt he'd steal the election to save America's greatness from democracy's weakness. This guy is bad news.

The rest of the field doesn't scare me. They're appalling with their science hating and Koch sucking idiocy, but at the end of the day, the Republic would survive even four years of President Cruz. I'm not so confident that Trump couldn't dismantle the Bill of Rights. Of course Cruz is probably the least electable of the Republicans, so he doesn't worry me at all.

A month ago I was hoping the Republican voters would save America from having an actual fascist like Trump on one of its two top party ballots. I don't think they can now; they've compromised themselves too much and their leaders are too ingrained in the habit of following to be able to effectively stand up against Trump. I'm about 30% sure he'll get their nomination and suspect that he stands an even chance of beating out Secretary Clinton (who will get our nomination) next fall.

Gulp.
