the same God? That is my understanding and they would be well within their rights to terminate her employment with them (assuming no contract/collective bargaining agreement).

My standard reply: When you go to work for or send your children to a religious school, do not be surprised when the rules apply to you.

One article I read said this college fired faculty who got divorced, who converted to Catholicism, and don't even ask about their position on LGBT individuals. This woman chose to work for this institution knowing their policies - again, from a previous article the school is apparently very adamant that all employees read their rules.
