...I kinda' agree with the sentiment of this toon. Even though I'm an atheist, I really don't have a problem with people wishing me 'Merry Christmas', or hearing all of the religious songs that we've heard forever, at this time of year. I don't even get my panties in a wad over someone telling me to 'have a blessed day', 'cause I know that they are just trying to be friendly and courteous, and it really is hard to find fault with something like that.

My problem with Xmas, and other religious holidays, is religious people insisting that I acknowledge that the ONLY reason the holiday exists is because of their chosen deity, and that finishes this discussion, thank you, and goodbye! (...sigh)
Of course, most of us know history well enough to know that the major christian holidays were just supplanted over existing pagan religious festivals in an effort to force the non-believers to just accept the christian holiday observance, or stop celebrating the holiday, altogether.

...eventually worked.

However, out of just plain ole' human decency, as long as 'the faithful' are just wishing me well, with whatever religious phrase is currently popular this week, I'll just acknowledge their greeting, and wish them well, also.

...makes the day a little less troublesome.

The whole political correctness crapfest is tiresome, from both sides of most issues.
