A few people here wonder why I take a lot of Cracked.com seriously...

They actually report what the "big names" in media don't.

Like the bullshit "news stories" that are breathlessly reported on, then vanish.

Can't blame people for believing the solar power story though, it sounds legit. Funny about the measles parties, I guess my mom was cutting edge on that. She actually did take us to a cousins house when my cousin had measles, but that was way way before the internet could breathlessly report on the widespread (one family) doing such a thing. Well anyway, I have to go gold mining in my toilet bowl now, I had no idea this was a thing.

Cracked.com is great for the same reason Jon Stewart is great, and Stephen Colbert is great.
