I can't today making Christmas cookie. Tomorrow neighborhood Christmas cookie exchange. Wednesday I have to sign up for classes and go out to dinner with cousin. Thursday is just to close. Friday relaxing day that I can be a full fledged idiot...drinks will make it official.

At least I got my cookbook drawer tidied up, looking for a recipe that wasn't in there. It was in the pot I use to make that recipe. I put it in the pot because my cookbook drawer was such a mess I wanted to make it easier to find. It took me 45 minutes to find something, that I put in a place to make it easier to find.

Now I have lost a bag of Xmas gifts for my husband. I hid it somewhere and promptly forgot. The good thing is that I only have to look from 5ft down. I never hide something where I can't reach it. Which probably means I will find it on a top shelf, in Feb.

About 2 years ago, I did something completely boneheaded. My wife, furious, asked "Why did you DO that?"

I was literally at a loss. I just replied, "clearly, I am an idiot."

My wife broke into laughter and we got to work together cleaning up the disaster I had made.
