Six US soldiers were killed in Afghanistan on Monday when a suicide bomber on a motorcycle attacked their patrol, a US official said.
Speaking on condition of anonymity, the US official told Reuters news agency that all six NATO troops killed in the attack near Bagram Airfield were American.
It is the deadliest attack on foreign troops since August.
Earlier on Monday, Brig Gen Wilson Shoffner, head of public affairs at NATO's Resolute Support base in the Afghan capital Kabul, said in a statement that six members of its Resolute Support mission were killed and three others were wounded in the attack near Bagram, the largest US military facility in Afghanistan.
Notice the power the bomb carried by motorcycle had on the heavily armored vehicle.
Six more dead and at least two more injured in the continuing struggle to occupy and control Afghanistan.
And in other news coming out of Afghanistan there's this.
