I'll defend anyone wrongly accused of something (from my perspective) from Lucifer to Mother Theresa, though defending trump makes me feel about the same as possibly voting for Hillary in the GE.
I'll hold my nose and curse the sky, but I'll do it anyway if I think the accusations false.

I'll leave this here first - this is a comment which I guess you think he needs defending from:

They are going to people showing videos of Donald Trump insulting Islam and Muslims in order to recruit more radical jihadists

From before the debate:

The Republican presidential candidate's controversial proposal for barring all Muslims from entering the United States is being used by the head-chopping fanatics and other terrorist groups like al Qaeda to attract recruits by painting the land of the free as opposed to Islam, experts told NBC News on Tuesday.

"They love him from the sense that he is supporting their rhetoric," said Rita Katz with the SITE Intelligence Group, which monitors the social media activities of Islamic terrorist groups.

"They follow everything Donald Trump says," she noted. "When he says, 'No Muslims should be allowed in America,' they tell people, 'We told you America hates Muslims and here is proof.'"

http://www.nbcnews.com/storyline/isis-terror/donald-trumps-muslim-bashing-aids-cause-terror-networks-say-experts-n476221

It's not disputed that Trump did say (possibly paraphrased) "no Muslims should be allowed in America". And a monitoring group says ISIS are using that. There are some true idiots who are saying "but the monitoring group didn't use the word 'videos'". So what? We know Trump said it; if they are pointing to an online article with it in words, rather than a video, it doesn't alter Trump's responsibility in any way.

If you don't think his inflammatory language is being highlighted by ISIS and similar organizations, you're not paying close attention.

Seriously... I don;lt get this line of argument from Democrats AT ALL, other than it's a line of attack on Hillary.

I know he's taken a lot of flack for his crummy hair, but the truth is, he's carefully woven it into a follicle based thought protection system that will keep his thoughts from being influenced by the Reticulons. If you knew the threat the reticulons pose to our economy and our way of life, you'd agree that more presidential candidates should take such protections.

... everything a person says based on your dislike of that person rather than the content of the statement itself.

I don't like Trump at all. But at the last debate, he said something to the effect of "we wasted trillion$ on BS wars when we could have spent that money here at home on infrastructure" (paraphrasing).

I will defend that statement - or that idea/perception - until the day I die. I don't disagree with it just because some misogynistic, racist asshole also happened to say it. And noting that I agree with Trump on something is worth commenting on because it almost never happens, and it makes me feel icky. Kind of like eating at Taco Bell.

But please keep in mind that pointing out that he said something I agree with doesn't mean I think he's fit for office. It doesn't mean I think maybe he's not such a bad guy. It doesn't mean I would prefer him over clowns 2 through 11.

But, .... it also doesn't mean I'm defending HIM.

I have no explanation for the poster who said they'd prefer him over Sanders, however. That is really messed up.
