Here's the cartoon that WaPo was forced to retract after Ted Cruz complained

The Washington Post recently ran a political cartoon, poking fun at Ted Cruz and his constant need to use his children as props during his campaign. After much backlash from Cruz and other Republicans, the WaPo retracted the cartoon on Wednesday. Look at the full cartoon in context, and make your own judgement.

Never a good look to bring kids into it. Even the mafia was better than that.

...his daughters making cracks at our candidates?

Why can he use them as props and then declare them off-limits?

That's a pretty good way to assess this.

The opportunity would not arise, as Obama has never so directly exploited his children for political purposes, and certainly not for an attack ad.

...is the guy who posted this thread. Examiner pays by the page view in part, and this is all he does - bang out a few paragraphs on the "controversial" story du jour, and post a link to it on DU for the clicks.

I am a bit surprised whenever I see people getting the 1st Amendment wrong. I guess I shouldn't be.

Edit to add:

The whole 'citizen journalism' thing bugs me. I was not familiar with what you described until tonight. While I would never describe myself as a 'journalist' I do have a B.S. in Mass Communications (journalism).

I have been published and I have broadcasting experience (19 years) including news reporting.

The lack of details and errors on blogs and even the msm sites is quite annoying. Reporting ain't what it used to be.
