A shy shelter dog turned into a jumping, tail-wagging bundle of joy when he was adopted by a loving family.

Benny, an 8-month-old pit bull, was one of the dogs at the high-kill Carson Animal Care Shelter in Los Angeles. On Dec. 10, the little pup got the surprise of a lifetime when he found his forever home.

His response was all sorts of precious.

Visit the Carson Animal Care Shelter's website to see more animals available for adoption now.
