POSTED: SUNDAY, DECEMBER 27, 2015 12:00 AM | UPDATED: 2:09 PM, SUN DEC 27, 2015.
By Emerson Clarridge / World-Herald staff writer
Update, Sunday 2 p.m.: In anticipation of tomorrow's storm, the City of Omaha has issued a snow emergency beginning at noon Monday. A snow emergency includes odd-even parking restrictions on all streets east of 72nd Street and parking bans on all streets marked "Emergency Snow Routes".
The odd-even parking system requires that all vehicles be parked on the side of the street with even-numbered addresses on Monday. Vehicles should be moved to the odd side of the street at midnight Tuesday. These parking restrictions will be in place until the snow emergency is lifted.
A press release from the Mayor's Office on Sunday said major and secondary streets were being pretreated with brine. Pretreating residential streets was to begin after the primary streets had been treated and if the snow had not started.
The city said plowing of streets will begin as soon as the snow begins to accumulate after midnight. All city equipment plus residential contractors will be on the street; approximately 200 total plows.

At this time: ...WINTER STORM WATCH NOW IN EFFECT FROM LATE TONIGHT THROUGH
LATE MONDAY NIGHT...
* TIMING...SNOW IS LIKELY TO SPREAD NORTH LATE TONIGHT AFTER
MIDNIGHT...AND CONTINUE INTO AT LEAST MONDAY EVENING. THERE IS
THE POTENTIAL FOR HEAVY SNOW DURING THE DAY ON MONDAY.
* ACCUMULATIONS...HIGH POTENTIAL FOR 6 INCHES OR MORE OF SNOW. A
PERIOD SLEET IS POSSIBLE IN FAR SOUTHEAST NEBRASKA AND SOUTHWEST
MAINLY MONDAY MORNING.
* IMPACT...TRAVEL WILL BECOME VERY HAZARDOUS. NORTHEAST WINDS OF

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A WINTER STORM WATCH MEANS THERE IS A POTENTIAL FOR SIGNIFICANT

We did that in the Twin Cities on time, what a hoot, fellow showed up on Skidoo. Gave him a Ten spot for a tip, figured he would need to buy a ton of gas for that thing. And the Pizza was wonderfully delicious on a cold snowy day. Gave the crust to the Cardinals hanging around the back deck.
