As mad as the prosecutor had to be with that judge, it wouldn't surprise me if he just decided to give the kid enough rope to (metaphorically) "hang himself"

The Justice system also goes easy on the affluent. It didn't teach him a thing either.

I thought they would make him wear an ankle bracelet at least for a year.

I hope he sees some serious time now.

It was just a resort Puerto Vallarta, after all. Just a bit more special than the usual holiday vacation, because this is the first year "our little man" is a real man!

They left for a Christmas vacation back in November, and they would have been back at the beginning of 2016...and they just happened to forget to inform the parole officer that they were leaving for a while.

Why make it a big deal?
