Has no one heard of Hearst, who pushed us over the edge into the Spanish-American War but yet still was oneof the prime movers for FDR's plans. 16 NYC dailies and maybe a hundred small weeklies all screaming for attention and readers. Hearst was the largest media empire in the world at the time and it could be argued that he was greater in influence than Murdock will ever hope to be.

Newspapers publishing propaganda goes all the way back to Franklin, who was no stranger to it.

A former NY Post editor (pre-Murdock, btw) told me very simply that "we all lie-- it's up to you who to believe"

Also, have you noticed how the new trend on cable news is to push Trump's invincibility to saying anything that would hurt his popularity? Make a note of it next time you watch a discussion about him on cable news.
