Murdoch and Jerry Hall are getting married

the culmination of a glorious 4 month romance.

http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2016-01-12/rupert-murdoch-announces-engagement-to-jerry-hall-times-says

News Corp. Chairman Rupert Murdoch announced his engagement to former supermodel Jerry Hall in an advertisement published in the Times newspaper, the publication reported on its website.

The couple have been dating for about four months and made their relationship public in October, the London-based newspaper said. “They have loved these past months together, are thrilled to be getting married and excited about their future,” the newspaper cited a spokesman for the Murdoch family as saying.

I just wonder what we might be able to get the lovely couple as a wedding gift. Any suggestions?

Rupert Murdoch Hearing Briefly Suspended After Pie Thrown at Him (Video)

LONDON -- News Corp. chairman and CEO Rupert Murdoch and his son and News Corp. deputy COO James Murdoch’s appearance before the Culture Media and Sport Select Committee in Parliament Tuesday came to a dramatic halt after comedian Jonnie Marbles appeared to toss a pie or shaving cream at Murdoch.

it appears the mogul’s wife Wendi Deng Murdoch leapt to her feet and struck out at the attacker before being knocked to the ground. According to people Tweeting in the room, Deng threw the pie right back at him.

Murdoch sat motionless with flecks of white on his dark suit while news pictures showed animated police officers talking to the handcuffed attacker in the corridors outside the room.

“Rupert murdoch pied by protester. His wife slaps protester. Then she picks up pie and shoves it in his face,” tweeted Ben Fenton from the Financial Times, who was in the room.

Tony Blair and Rupert Murdoch: the deconstruction of a friendship

Tony Blair's friends and allies seem to accept the globe-trotting former prime minister's emphatic assurances that the press has got it wrong again. He did not have an affair with Rupert Murdoch's now-ex-wife Wendi Deng; instead he was a sympathetic intermediary and confidante in a troubled marriage.
...
Apart from disputed details of solo meetings at Murdoch's Californian ranch and elsewhere (witnessed by staff) the closest things to evidence to have emerged so far are a misrouted Deng email and her breathless notes to herself, unearthed after the debacle.

"Oh shit, oh shit, whatever why I'm so missing Tony … he has such a good, body and really, really good legs …" says one note. They strike a curiously adolescent tone for a clever and ambitious woman of 44 with an MBA from Yale.

In any case the facts of the case – or lack of them – are not what is important. What matters is that apparently the 82-year-old Murdoch believes the allegations are true. As do loyal News Corp colleagues and the four children from his first two marriages who never warmed to Deng or her "equal shares" demand for her own two Murdoch daughters. As the attack dogs of rival media tycoons circle, insiders have been feeding them good steak.

http://www.theguardian.com/politics/2014/feb/14/tony-blair-rupert-murdoch-deconstruction-friendship-wendi-deng

The passionate note surfaced amid the flotsam of a shipwrecked marriage. It was written in broken English by a woman to herself, pouring out her love for a man called Tony. "Oh, shit, oh, shit," she wrote. "Whatever why I'm so so missing Tony. Because he is so so charming and his clothes are so good. He has such good body and he has really really good legs Butt . . . And he is slim tall and good skin. Pierce blue eyes which I love. Love his eyes. Also I love his power on the stage . . . and what else and what else and what else . . . "

The woman was Wendi Deng Murdoch, the Chinese wife of the Australian media mogul Rupert Murdoch. The note, not revealed until now, could have been one of the few pieces of evidence in their surprise divorce last year, had the case come to trial. "Tony" was the former prime minister of Great Britain, Tony Blair.
...
The dénouement began with the backstairs rumblings of servants. Murdoch, 82, had long heard rumors that his 45-year-old wife was involved in extramarital affairs. But when those rumors grew to include too familiar a relationship with Blair, according to a former News Corp. employee in the U.K., "that was something that really took him aback." After all, through the power of The Sun, and his other London newspapers, the TimesandNews of the World, Murdoch had virtually put Blair into office, and Blair had become not only a valued friend but also the godfather of Grace, the older of Rupert and Wendi's two daughters. (Through a representative, Tony Blair declined to be interviewed. After the announcement of the divorce last June, The Hollywood Reporter published a categorical denial from Blair's office.)

'She got careless," the source continues. "And for whatever reason, these affairs . . . they started to multiply and be amplified over the last year. In particular, the two relationships that have been commented on (in the press): Eric Schmidt [the executive chairman of Google] and Tony Blair. Really shocking. Because when you look at the Blair piece, she would make up an excuse to be somewhere. She would say she's going up to the ranch in Carmel with a girlfriend. And the girlfriend would leave, and Mr. Blair would turn up, and they would have a day or night. . . . There was staff around, and when you're dealing with Tony Blair, there's secret service, and arrangements need to be made."

Which really has nothing to do with Jerry Hall overall, by commenting on the man himself. The poster above then added another element. But the point being that no one is a prize here so I don't Jerry Hall is on blast here. I could care less. Then to see the thread implying that she's a gold digger...ugh.

I don't care who finds him as some sort of "beloved" he's an ass and has done egregious things to children and women, when he's to know better. As for Jerry Hall, to me this is not even a worthwhile discussion. I'm don't have anything to really say to a 60 year old with an 84. She's doing her and made her choice. All I question is the speed in which she decided to marry him.

Mackenzie Philips slept with him when she was 14. That came out long before she stated she had an incestuous relationship with her father. I believe he (Mick Jagger) was the one who took her virginity.

http://www.people.com/people/article/0,,20307481,00.html

This could all be a fabrication, but there has been no one to speak out against her allegations and even her family (sisters) were aware of her sexual relationships.

According to Phillips, her father taught her to "roll joints" by the age of 10, and at 11, she had tried cocaine from a cereal bowl her father kept "filled to the brim." Phillips said her drug use progressed quickly. "I was probably 16 or 17, and my father shot me up for the first time," said Phillips. She also said that at 18, she slept with Mick Jagger while her father was aware it was happening.
