Appearing on ABCs This Week, 2016 GOP presidential front-runner Donald Trump said he just might might consider filing a suit against rival Ted Cruz over his eligibility to become president by warning, When I file suits, I file real suits.
Citing legal scholars who have questioned whether Cruz qualifies as a natural born U.S. citizen, Trump pointed out to host George Stephanopolous that a lawsuit recently filed in Texas was inevitable as Cruz continued to campaign for the presidency.

(4,139 posts)if only to smack down all the Obama birthers who insisted that a natural born citizen had to be born in the US of two citizen parents. On the other hand, who knows what this court will decide. There's at least a 1% chance that Trump actually wins. Unlike all the other birther suits, he will be unique in that he almost certainly has standing to sue.

(11,856 posts)In 2007 we found out about every relative in Kansas and beyond of then candidate Obama. Like with Cruz, we know his father was not a US citizen. but his Mother was. So, who is this mysterious Mother of Cruz ? I've heard plenty stories about her Baltimore or Delaware origins, but find it strange that no relatives or former neighbors have come forward to vouch for or recall her family.
On this one I'll proudly wear this

(7,491 posts)while we watch. Funny how earlier in this campaign Cruz seemed comfortable with Trump, I even thought a Trump/Cruz ticket
could be possible. With this development, it seems Cruz must not have kissed Trumps ring enough.

(14,093 posts)you know, the stuff he said he would "reveal soon" back in 2011.
Not a single one of Trump sycophantic interviewers in the media has ever pressed him on how he lied to the nation for months about that one.
