I found a helpful timeline while trying to catch up on the Flint water crisis:

Nicely interactive. You can click through the text on the upper portion, which connects to anchors on the timeline, or you can skip around the timeline clicking on date anchors which then pop up the text. The timeline will drag left and right.
Works well in Firefox. Didn't try it in other browsers.

I needed some kind of an overview after that softball interview with Snyder on Morning Joe.
