Christie decides he better get his butt back to Jersey.

Gov. Chris Christie announced Friday he's cutting his latest campaign trip short to return to New Jersey ahead of an incoming blizzard that's expected to dump at least 6 to 18 inches of snow across the state.

"I gotta go home," Christie told a town hall crowd in northern New Hampshire Friday afternoon.

"We've got snow coming. Now, I've got to tell you something, after you've dealt with Hurricane Sandy, Hurricane Irene and more snow storms than I can even count, I forget the number of states of emergency I've now signed over the course of my time, but when snow comes people get nervous," he said.
Christie added: "All the reports I've gotten ... (indicate) it looks like it's going to be a pretty manageable storm."

The governor, to some laughs from the crowd, joked that when people "get nervous" in New Jersey that "they feel comforted by my presence."

You know that decision to go back to New Jersey must have killed him but the optics of staying in Iowa during a monster storm would have been worse.

All he has to do is stand out in the storm, and he will provide shelter for at least a dozen people. old guy Jan 2016 #1

Can't he walk, chew gum, run for president an ignore a storm at the same time?
