so he could run for a third term. I would think that subverting the will of the voters isn't something you'd want in an election resume but it's in his. he did win re election for that third term by about 4 points though so not everyone was alienated.

it looks as if he can still get on the ballot in all states.

I'm bewildered about where his support will come from. I don't sense a vast network of people who are hogwild about Michael Bloomberg.

He will need to pay a fee or get the required signatures in a state to get on their ballots.

A democratic candidate, a Rethuglican, a jilted Trump as an independent and Bloomberg.

No one will get 270 electoral votes and it will go to the House of Reps, which will select the Rethuglican.

an idiot. Very bad combination.

Bloomberg is not as stupid as Trump, but he's is lethally dull to listen to.

It's just awfully difficult to imagine Michael Bloomberg inspiring a significant amount of people to support him for president.

It seems he will wait till March but that seems a bit of a stretch to get on the ballot in enough states and organize a competent campaign in enough states in ~7 months. That is the part I don't get. I thought people like Perot were in campaign mode a lot sooner. Despite being mayor of New York and a billionaire, most people likely don't know who he is or care.

I think he is standing in an echo chamber and hearing what he wants...I don't think most Democrats or most independents have any desire to put any billionaire, Wall St alterboy in the WH...

News stories on a possible run say he'll decide by mid-March,
which will give him time to get on the November ballot in 50 states.

The ballot access rules are strange but he has time to get on as third party candidate in every state. Texas is one of the earliest states and if Bloomberg starts on March 2, he might make it but it will take some real dollars to round up the necessary signatures
