Snyder Has No Immediate plans To Replace Water Pipes in Flint

http://wegoted.com/2016/01/snyder-has-no-immediate-plans-to-replace-water-pipes-in-flint/

Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder admitted Wednesday that there are no immediate plans to replace corroded lead pipes that led to the Flint, MI water crisis.

Snyder said that removing the pipes, which is seen as the only course of action to permanently solve the issue, isn’t in the agenda.

“A lot of work is being done to even understand where the lead services lines fully are,” Snyder said. “The short-term issue is about recoating the pipes (with chemicals) and that will be based on third-party experts saying the water is safe. … It’s a lot of work to take out pipes, to redo all the infrastructure.”

Look, motherfucker, pretty sure you punished us enough when you gave tax breaks to your goddamn buddies a few years back. You want to save your slimy skin? Do what is necessary. I cannot wait to rid my beloved state of this cancerous piece of filth. If you want to hate this fucker even more, just listen to two seconds of him opening his mouth. His voice is kryptonite to civility.

that way they can blame Dems for all of the tax increases necessary to pay for it.

It's gonna need a lot of recoating.

Mayor estimated $1.5 billion worth of new piping, if memory serves.

Construction can't start until the ground thaws and dries in spring - unless you want it to fail. For now, the residents should be flushing their water heaters repeatedly, and most of them might even need to be replaced. My husband spoke to our state sen. and suggested that the state should disperse and install WHOLE HOUSE water filters, so the people can shower, bathe, and cook. Sen. says he's sponsoring a bill to test every school drinking fountain in the state. Oh, and replacing Snyder would give us Brian Calley for governor - and he's a teabagger.
