(51,129 posts)This crap is why FBI released the video, because too many believe what the want in absence of seeing it, then 10% won't believe their eyes because they already believe a falsehood. So, stop the falsehoods ASAP. They knew Finicum was doing stupid stuff before they rode in.
Here's an idea. Conserve energy and do a walking protest.

(8,836 posts)against outsiders that were part of the trespass or support the trespass in the press or social media?
Sounds extreme but it does not take many folks (as we have seen) to disrupt and endangered (as armed and vocally belligerent) the small Harney county population.
I was glad to see there was not much local support for the trespassers. There are issues in Harney county and issues between the locals and the Feds over land use but the message seems pretty clear that the outside trespassers are not wanted by locals.

(8,836 posts)I tend to be wary of law enforcement in general especially when prescriptive as well.
The key here is, "disrupt and endangered (as armed and vocally belligerent) the small Harney county population", specifically to voice an intent to be disruptive while armed.
The suggestion is probably an over reach. Tend to be of the opinion that the FBI, Sheriffs, and Oregon State police handled the bizarre event well. My concern second to violence was that similar copycat trespasses would occur in other isolated areas of the West and the sedition spread.

(50,562 posts)After all the shit the Bundy Bunch has put the town of Burns through, I get this strange feeling if a handful of Burns residents were to get on the roofs of the handful of two-story buildings and start picking off the protesters, the Harney County Coroner might just find those boys died of natural causes.
"Natural causes"
'Yup...natural to the business they was in.'
