General question RE: DU. The site keeps freezing.

My computer? BZ site and heavy activity? Any ideas?
The pages freeze, cannot not scroll. I have to close and reopen DU. Other sites, no problem. Is it just me?

I mean, every single time I try to log in, it freezes before I get to log in.
These ads are insidious, and willing to knock the site down.

Until I log in, the pages freeze for a good 1-2 minutes before I can do that sometimes.
Especially if I am using IE.

By this evening this place will probably slow down big time, and depending on just how bad it is, it's possible only the star users will be able to get access. It's happened before.

at least, none recently. It goes wonky every now and again but no more than any other site I visit.

this add-on: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/ghostery/

There is one for EI also, just go to the site and find the IE option and load it, The ads go away, page loading is faster and you can turn it on and off. I have been using it for over a year and it makes life so much more pleasant. And as a star member, I am also seeing temporary freezes today with my star and ghostery functioning.

It's worse every day. I'm thinking there is more phishing software for our info....and they make more off of the ads? Spying? I have no idea. But this is THE ONLY WEBSITE that does this on my computer!
