...and exposes herself as a sociopathic, blithering idiot, it should serve as a reminder that John McCain has terrible, TERRIBLE JUDGEMENT. He actually thought this CRACKPOT, with the mentality of an 11 year old spoiled brat was qualified to be the VICE PRESIDENT of the United States. He thought she was qualified to be PRESIDENT and leader of the free world should anything happen to him.So yeah, every time McCain opens his pie-hole about who we need to start sending arms to, and who we need to drop more bombs on, and who we need to get tough with...we should be screaming "F--ck YOU, you moron! That's what you think? You ALSO thought SARAH PALIN was qualified to be President. The only reason we listen to YOUR advice is so that we'll know to do the EXACT OPPOSITE."

(4,461 posts)... 1) I detect some regret from him even though he has been careful not to actually criticize her, 2) I think his campaign brain trust was mostly responsible for her selection to garner support from the crazy far right, while he had inadequate input. I think his true sin was not being more in control of that process. It was no secret he wanted Leiberman, but he caved to the strategists in his campaign. And 3) there was little to vette about her. All of her crazy has been loosed since her selection to the 2008 ticket. Before that she was about as unknown as a governor could possibly be, and had such a sparse record that there was little to suggest she would be the monumental idiot she has turned out to be.
I'm short, I don't blame McCain for selecting a psycho, I blame him for not resisting pressure and selecting an unknown who happened to turn out to be a psycho.

(40,416 posts)Then, there's HBO Films Game Change, which I recommend. Great cast. Julianne Moore as Sarah Palin, Ed Harris as McCain, Woody Harrelson as Steve Schmidt.
It gives a great view of how things spun out of control in McCain's campaign after they selected Palin.

(6,688 posts)The economy was in deep frog shit and getting worse by the day. Projections were for far worse for far longer than we ended up with under Obama. McCain didn't want that on his hands and I believe the RNC deliberately threw it to the Democratic party so they had someone to blame.

A form of Traumatic Brain Injury brought on by being near enough to hear her, and attempting to figure out What the F**k is She Saying???
Not to mention the screechy voice.
Either one of those will cause brain damage, but both together????
