(39,961 posts)Both have tapped into voter frustration that when their insider candidate gets elected, they end up doing exactly the opposite of what they said they were going to do.
Inside the beltway, Washington veterans have no idea just how pissed off the American public is over things like bailing out Wall Street, Forever War, and general dismissive attitudes toward the people who elected them.
All they get is sunshine and people kissing their asses to aid their own political futures, so it is understandable how they can get that idea when voters don't push back.
This is the push back.
