Report: Rick Santorum to assess campaign after Iowa results

What is there to assess ?

11 th out of 12 (good thing that Gilmore did not campaign in the state)
No money (last report showed his campaign half a million in debt
Polling .3 % in NH?

I do not think his assessment will take long.

BTW, Cruz should be careful. Not that many GOP Iowa caucuses went to win the nomination. Since 1980, W and Dole(96) may be the exception.

though it hasn't helped Santorum this time:

Rick Santorum: an Iowa requiem for the candidate holding a tiny slice of support

Sure, Santorum filled the party room, but only a handful of reporters were present. The parking lot, at least, was filled with Santorum bumper stickers from all over. These were the loyal supporters: staff members, volunteers, even longtime mega-donor Foster Friess. These were the people who had been with Santorum since he was at 2% in the polls back in 2011 and stood by him throughout the political rollercoaster ride that followed.

Or is he thinking about starting one?

Anyway, yeah, one more right-wing religious fundy would't hurt, there's plenty of room in the clown car.

Carly Fiorina beat Chris Christie (hate her but kind of liked that he finished badly - though he's hanging on for NH)

Sorry Rick, the dream is over.
