Very sad.
For about the last two years I have been a cord cutter and have rarely seen MSNBC. I've had access again for the last week or so.
Don't think I was missing much.

(17,600 posts)In my opinion.
I used to love Up with Chris Hayes. Every week he would have a strong, diverse panel including people "in the trenches" on a particular issue; and spend enough time on each issue to have a real discussion on it.
When he went to weeknights I think it was considered a promotion, but to me it took away the format that made him stand out. In the one hour week night show he's never done what he did on the two-hour Up show. I think the theory is that you can't take up that much time on a single issue when you only have an hour.
Anyway, I'm going to withhold judgment on whether he's really turned into a "hack", because I don't watch him very often anymore.
(Actually though, while I miss Up with Chris Hayes, it is probably better for me that I have my Saturday and Sunday mornings back.)

(74 posts)If the Sanders people are going to literally make clear, but unsaid accusations that taking donations from some sources means the person taking the donations is bought. The media has shied away from asking Sanders and his top aides to explain exactly what they are clearly implying. The Sanders people must know something that has happened within the last 10 hours because two of the top aides seemed tense and pissed. The thrill is gone baby, now comes reality.

(9,966 posts)...and can't cite any, but I recall seeing articles about him being a favorite with those who run MSNBC. He was good on the weekend show he had, moderating interesting discussions. I'd like to see him focus on one story for the first, longer segment - and stop wrapping up all the news. The whole network is going downhill...

(751 posts)I saw segment where he had Sanders campaign guy. He always takes opposing view.
When he had Hillary surrogate (african american lady) he had tough questions for her and Clinton history with criminal system. He actually played a clip where Clinton said "super predators" and bringing them to "heel".
