For some reason I thought it wasn't kosher to release results until the polls closed.
Watching further, they are releasing results because some precincts close earlier than others.
I guess that is just a national/Presidential thing.
I won the "when will the election be called" pool bet in 2012 at the party I attended. People were throwing in oddball times 11:15pm , 10:33pm etc.
It was obvious the networks would wait untill California closed 10:00pm our time.
Like taking candy from a baby.

it is a local version of the GE, when we are still voting in California but these idiots are droning east coast results.
I truly feel for Alaska and HI (not to mention American Samoa)
