Source: LoveMeow
It was a dark, cold stormy night when a couple heard a kitten cry coming from outside. They rushed out and found a little kitten all soaked up, meowing for help.
My girlfriend and I heard the most pitiful mewling outside our back door, imgur user trandyr said.
They put a bowl of cat food out trying to get closer to the kitty. We waited for over an hour, softly calling into the dark.
It took time, but eventually the kitten decided to accept her human friends. (She) even stooped to eating the pitiful offering we had provided.
The kitten was wet and shivering, so the couple took her in.
While I swept the area around our house, looking for signs of any mother cats or other stray kittens, my girlfriend got her into our bathroom where she could dry off.
Meowing to her human friends for help!
All clean! No more fleas!
How she likes to nap now .
Stormie has grown to enjoy climbing things, even her humans.

(8,203 posts)Our "Penny" - found my husband on a job 3 years ago - she kept coming back to HIM over two days - she had a collar - hubby checked around the neighborhood for the owner...the neighbors said if no one claims her they were taking the baby kitty to the animal shelter - hubby said NO WAY - he called me to come get her....
Penny (yes, Big Bang Theory, Penny) is our best friend - enjoy Stormy.....

(60,010 posts)cannot figure out for the life of me how such a teeny kitten ended up on my door during a bad storm, but I gave him a home, cause all fur kids find us for a reason.

(47,209 posts)have been way too loud to hear her little cries. I don't think she would have made it through that huge storm. Poor thing was starving. I really needed a kitten, and just didn't know it.

One morning friend looks out the window and see the cat lying in the middle of the yard. She was pretty sure the cat was dead but decided to check. She opened the back door to find a newborn kitten in front of it. Mama cat had used her last strength to leave her baby where he would be found (the cat was so thin they had never suspected she was pregnant).
Their yard and the neighbors' was thoroughly searched but no other kittens were found. They took him to the vet to find out how to care for such a tiny cat and had him for 18 years.

If there is anything cuter on this planet than a kitten, I don't want to see it because I couldn't take it. I would 'splode from adorableness.

(3,702 posts)It was a dark and stormy night in April. We were living in a rental property on some farmland in the middle of nowhere Iowa, outside of Des Moines...nearest neighbor at least 1/2 mile away. We heard this sad little noise outside, and there was this adorable black cat....wet and cold. So we brought him in - we were nervous because we had never had a cat and we had 2 large dogs.
My husband ran to Wal-mart to get "basics" for the night: cat litter, litter box, cat food, food dish, collar, cat treats and cat toys
This sweetheart has been with us for 17 years - has traveled from Iowa to Minnesota, has lived with up to 4 large dogs at one time (and still was boss), has had his own adventures he could write a book about and we are so lucky he chose our house that night to come crying. He is the most loving and cuddliest cat - who thinks he is a dog and that's ok.
I firmly believe that our pets chose us sometimes - and the OP is no exception. So sweet!
