LET'S DUMP THE "MAKE IT A MONTHLY CONTRIBUTION" SCAM.

We're progressives. Or so we like to think. No?

Why... when I've been moved to make a modest ONE TIME ONLY contribution to..... say... EndCitizensUnited.org, must I have to keep opting out of the "make it a monthly contribution" default?

Just did it FOUR times by my count.

Had the same problem w. actblue.org. about a month ago. Missed one of the numerous, redundant, obligatory "opt-outs" and ended up "agreeing" to a monthly contribution.

Colossal pain in the ass to straighten it out via phone and email.

Anyway: good way to DISCOURAGE people from ante-ing up in the first place.

This is the future. We just have to be more alert on another front. Trying to separate us from our money is a permanent game in this reality.

But I certainly get your frustration.
