(14,858 posts)Normally, parents can tell when their kids are tired or sick or just in a bad mood, and want to be left alone. Hell, that's not my kid and I can tell at the very beginning of the vid she's pale and has dark circles under her eyes - she's probably exhausted. He either didn't notice or he didn't care.

You are going to make that implication based on this video?
Ghost in the Machine
(14,912 posts)I had a 10 year old niece who was molested and reacted the same way when ANY male tried to even give her a hug.
I've known a few women who were physically abused so much that they would flinch, or draw back, if you reached out to touch them.
I also have an "adopted" stray pitbull that just showed up at my house one day. For the first 3 or 4 months, she would cower down every time you tried to pet her. That tells me that she had been beaten a LOT! I've had her almost 2 years now, and she is the most lovable dog in the world, she's well trained, and even gives "kisses" when asked. However, when my daughter & her boyfriend were staying here and started arguing, she would come sit beside me, shaking, or try to climb up in my lap.
There's a big difference between an accusation and an observation, please learn it...
Peace,
Ghost

(14,691 posts)someone else posted - There it's more clear that the guy in the blue & red shirt does appear to be holding her but IMO she's too big to be held.
In a way, maybe we're (including me) all making a big deal over something not that unusual. It's just that it's Cruz.

(448 posts)Is that, When hearing the the video with sound, she is heard saying "Ow, Ow" which can be interpreted as what's said when
in pain.
That's what's disturbs me.

(4,775 posts)Stubble is often very painful to kids. I can't stand Cruz, but this whole thread is immature mockery, there are far better ways to attack Cruz, such as his dominionism.
lunatica
(53,410 posts)And it's hurting her. I find it strange to think she'd say ow about something that didn't cause some kind of pain.

(7,754 posts)It would creep me out but I don't think we can assume from this that he is an abuser or not a good dad. How many of us have had our tweens pull away from us when others are around? She is at the age where even the sound of her parent's voice is irritating.
