Because the game has completely changed. Scalia's spot will not be filled before the election. The next prez will do it.
I don't care if it's Hillary or Sanders. A Democrat MUST, ABSOLUTELY MUST be in the White House next year.
Everything has changed today.

According to NH exit polls, Bernie won with 93% to 6% trustworthiness.
I am prepared to caucus for Bernie on March 1st.

(11,495 posts)No matter which one wins, we need to rally around that nominee, and make damn sure we get the voters out to beat the republican nominee. If we don't have a new judge by November, there will be to much at stake for any Democrat, liberal, and progressive to say they WON'T vote for the nominee if it isn't their chosen candidate. Wouldn't you agree?

President Obama should set up a good Supreme nominee and the next Democratic President jams it through.

Hillary supporters, like me, let's do our best for her WITH the understanding that Bernie's supporters will be doing the same thing.
May the best candidate win. Then, we as Democrats, must come together.
