Some facts after the passing of Scalia

Scalia was the most senior current justice. (1986-2016)
Kennedy is now the most senior justice. (1988-present)
Kennedy was born the same year as Scalia (1936)
Kennedy is the last remaining Reagan justice (3rd of 3)
The next most senior justice is Thomas, but Ginsburg (1933) and Breyer (1938) are older
The last justice to die on the job was Rehnquist 11 years ago (2005)
Prior to that was Fred Vinson in 1953

In a 5-4 vote the SCOTUS in 2000 defeated Al Gore's winning presidential campaign by refusing to allow Florida to have a fair recount of the vote. Scalia was a leader of this action even going so far as to say that a recount would hurt bush.

It was the most anti-democratic action ever flouted upon the country, imo.
