Protesting against Uber's disrespect for its drivers is a good thing. Committing assault, however, is morally reprehensible.

Uber wants more protection at LaGuardia Airport pick up lot after driver is assaulted with traffic cone during protest

Uber drivers’ protest strike at LaGuardia Airport against fare cuts turned ugly for one of their own on Super Bowl Sunday.

Justin, a 27-year-old rookie Uber cabbie, told the Daily News he was smacked in the face with a traffic cone during a confrontation with a “mob” of about 15 drivers participating in a protest at an airport holding lot Feb. 7 around 7 p.m. — apparently because he was doing a pick up.

Now, Uber wants more security in the lot where for-hire vehicle drivers wait for a fare at the airport, according to a spokesman.

When he got out of his car, Justin said he was blindsided with the bottom of a traffic cone that struck him in the right side of his mouth as he exchanged words and a shove with one of the drivers. The wound needed five stitches to close, he said.

as they go about their work from being assaulted by assholes breaking the law. Should Greyhound have an armed guard on every bus in case some idiot attacks the driver?

Should McDonalds have armed men to protect their cashiers from angry customers?
