took over town councils and went on to take over one state legislature after another. It requires a fanatic devotion to the cause and long range vision. Democrats don't seem to have that endurance.

Governor Dean tried to promote that type of thinking and got a boot in his face for his efforts.

Then find a truckload of lunatic billionaires to pay for all the groups like ALEC, Heritage Foundation, AEI, Olin Foundation, Kohler foundation, The Dick & Betsy DeVos Family Foundation, The Committee for the Present Danger, (need I continue?) to push through their agenda

sadly, it's never going to happen. the money, and the will, just isn't there

Which is bullshit as of 1803. Judicial review and Marbury v. Madison. Not to mention that the Constitution can be amended. They called it "strict constructionist" in the Watergate days in the 1970s.
