SunMt was started by the man who took most of the photographs of those involved in the United Farm Workers Union.
Most of those pictures of Cesar Chavez in the 1960's were taken by Elfie Ballis and his to be wife Maia was also there at the movement.

They went onto start SunMt.
SunMt is a physical place, but also a state of mind that lives in the hearts of the people it touches. SunMt is a small private non-profit educational organization that has operated since 1983 as a 40 acre land trust in the Sierra foothills above Fresno between Yosemite and Sequoia.

Elfie passed away but Maia has kept SunMt going. .but she is now selling her artwork to fund it, to keep it going.

it goes to a an incredible cause that is not appreciated as it should be.
