Operation Rescue: 'We Are Just One Obama Appointee Away From A Totalitarian Government'

The radical anti-abortion group Operation Rescue has joined the many conservative groups urging the Senate to hold the late Justice Antonin Scalia’s Supreme Court seat open for more than a year in order to prevent President Obama from naming his replacement. In a press release yesterday, Operation Rescue’s Troy Newman — a leader of Sen. Ted Cruz’s “pro-life” coalition — declared that with the Supreme Court battle, America must choose “fascism of freedom” because the country is “just one Obama appointee away from totalitarian government.”
