If the shoe was on the other foot...

If it were the Democrats in charge of Congress and were blocking job creation offered by a Republican President, don't you think they would be screaming to high heaven?

Of course, I doubt that Democrats would block job creation by any President for political gain. They would try to find another issue to attack their opponent with, rather than hurting the working people of this country. The Republicans, unfortunately, have no such inhibitions.

If the Democrats were to try such a stunt, the Republicans, with their media friends, would crucify the Democrats in the media. They would pay a deep political price. But, for some reason, it doesn't seem to work for the Democrats? Republicans continue to block legislation that would create jobs and they escape any scrutiny from our media and press.

"need to be created"
"Obama has done nothing to create jobs"
"Our president has NOT TRIED to lower the debt!!"

It's rather hard to restore an economy when 1/2 of your employees are dead-set against it.

Think they're offering to take cuts in pay and benefits for themselves? I think not.

There's a shadow pro Christie group running ads on TV saying how we need to keep "moving the governor's agenda forward" which is code for "hey Democrats, march lockstep with this fat fuck."

(NJ has a Democratic legislature and Republican governor--- hopefully the latter will change next November)
