Lions Escape Kenya's Nairobi National Park, Roam Residential Area

http://www.nbcnews.com/news/world/lions-escape-kenya-s-nairobi-national-park-roam-residential-area-n521471

Up to six lions have broken out of a national park near the Kenyan capital and were last seen roaming a residential area, wildlife officials said Friday.

The lions were first spotted at 4 a.m. Friday (8 p.m. Thursday ET) near a hospital in the suburb of Langata, and later near Kibera, Kenya's largest slum, Wildlife Service spokesman Paul Udoto said.

Wildlife rangers do not know how the lions got out of the Nairobi National Park, which is surrounded by an electric fence.

He said a team of wildlife rangers tracking the lions aims to capture them and return them to the park.
