Now that we're into the Primary Grind, what does Trump do now?

He can keep saying the same thing over and over. That gets him . . . . what?

He can turn his campaign and act like an actual presidential candidate.

He can get increasingly outrageous.

I think the latter is his nature and no matter what he tries, that will come out. He will get more outrageous. And that will either endear him to enough kooks, racists, haters, bigots, and misogynists to win the nomination and then the white house, or, more likely, prevent him from growing his support to a level that will carry him to a win.

It may well be the only thing between Trump and the Presidency is Trump.

And if that's wrong, we really are pretty well fucked, because it will show once and for all that as a country, we are population with a majority who are dumb fucking oafs.

It is hard to imagine that Trump has any more support outside of the support he is already drawing. I predict he gets to around 35% - 40% in a General Election. That's still insanely high, but I think that's his ceiling. Most Americans will be too put off by the crazy.

I mean, really, who wants this guy to have his finger on the button?

They aren't going to vote for a status quo candidate. A lot of them will vote for Bernie Sanders if he is the Democratic candidate, but if he isn't on the ballot, many of those pissed off voters will mark their ballots for Trump.

A lot of us were pissed off in 2008. Obama appeared to be listening, but as it turned out, once he got in office he sort of forgot who put him there.

Trump can't win the presidency on his own but the Democratic party can help him by nominating a loser with a whole cruise ship full of baggage.

You may be displeased with the direction the country has taken, but your looking in the wrong place for a scapegoat. Blame the political establishment of both parties that keeps giving us lousy choices.
