"How Marco Rubio Won Nikki Haleys Endorsement, and Clinched Second in South Carolina"They are crowing about how their candidate came in second!
No news of Trump until you get to the small stories on the bottom.
There is some real reality denial going on here.
They can't bear to look at what's happening to their party.

(24,461 posts)There's absolutely NO way any of these clowns can be sold as moderates, but the idea of "Republican Candidate Donald Trump" is one which will mobilize Democrats like no other and one that will shift independents to prevent the nightmare from happening.

(14,733 posts)down to a two person race, he'll start losing. We probably won't know if that's true until it DOES get down to a 2 person race, if it ever does.

(45,851 posts)By the time Trump gets done with Hillary her ceiling will be about ten percent, all the slimy stuff we obscurely chat about here in GD-P will be dragged out and put on your big screen TV 24x7.

(48,181 posts)The fact is that Cruz and Roboto will continue to split the "not-Trump" vote. The facts are that Trump is the likely candidate, and that TRUMP is the MODERATE in the republican primary contest now that Jeb? has dropped out.

(10,274 posts)THEY CREATED. Let Donald Trump wreck their whole gaddamned village for all I care. They did this to themselves. Their tears will taste all the sweeter knowing they result from a wound self-inflicted.

It's interesting hearing Lowry's opinions sometimes.
His opinions come from an educated, although extremely conservative, place.
As opposed to most right wing opinions today that drool out from blatant ignorance and idiocy.

(32,886 posts)I think folks like him are upset because they feel this year was their choice to get a real far right person, like a Cruz, elected along with a Republican congress.
Trump isnt really ideological in terms of conservative or liberal orthodoxy. He is a radical with ideas all over the place.

(28,795 posts)media weasels fall instantly in line as soon as Trump officially becomes their candidate, and that is what WILL happen, barring some major unforeseen, self-inflicted stumble, which, at this point seems impossible, given the myriad things he's done/said that would have long ago been the death knell of any other candidate.

(39,316 posts)that will bite them. TV will become embarrassing since Trump haz zero shame.

(54,041 posts)if you have proportional representation in awarding delegates. For the most part, the Republicans don't. Their winner-take-all states will give the nomination to Trump unless Cruz cuts a deal with Rubio. The pissing contest that is the Republican primary season, and the big baby egos that go along with it, are gonna guarantee the Republicans nominate an actual fascist this year.
