Obama breaks constitutent's heart

TheRoot.com:
The Facebook page (of) Caprina D. Harris shows a video of her...patiently explain(ing) to her (granddaughter)... that a president can only serve two terms...

&quot H)er birthday is also on AUGUST 4!!!! My poor baby!!!"

The president...responded by posting a message in the comments section:

“Caprina, tell her to dry her tears, because I'm not going anywhere. Once I leave the White House, I'll still be a citizen just like her. And when she grows up, she can get involved right alongside me. In the meantime, I'll keep an eye out for her letter, and we'll always get to celebrate our birthdays together!”

Reminds me of when I had to stop my niece from trying to plant jelly beans.

In more ways than one.

except that I'm a little sixty nine year old white girl who is crying because I'll never again see a president as smart and articulate and heartfelt as our current president.

And if it was possible, I would vote for him again, despite the fact that DU has lately been overrun by republican trolls.

Of course jelly bean trees are a great idea -- that's why I thought of it when I was my niece's age, and that's why I was able to tell her that it wouldn't work.

Sure, I could have let her find that out for herself, but she was old enough to start learning how to value wisdom. Smart people know how to learn from the mistakes they make; wise people know how to learn from the mistakes that EVERYONE makes.

Imagine this child's heartbreak when she learns we are to have a President Combover if we can't nominate Bernie. I don't think Hillary can win the GE.

this is so cute and it means President Obama has already made a mark on this little girls life. How many of us even knew who the president was when we were her age?
