I don't have anyone on ignore, but I don't really use the DU Homepage either. That's a good question.

you will see it even if the OP is someone who you have on ignore.

I have some very "popular" posters on my ignore list.
Usually when they dissappear from the trending page it's because they managed yet another involuntary time out.

Skinner has said so in ATA, some time.

Sucks, but that's how it is.
As far as the technical reason, not sure why that hasn't been fixed.
