Rubio builds momentum, Cruz campaign shows signs of struggle

http://www.sfgate.com/news/texas/article/Republican-candidates-make-final-pitch-to-Nevada-6847190.php

Marco Rubio amassed increasing support for his candidacy while Ted Cruz's campaign showed signs of struggle as Republican presidential candidates crisscrossed Nevada on Monday on the final day of campaigning ahead of the state's GOP caucuses.

Cruz told reporters Monday he has asked his campaign spokesman, Rick Tyler, to resign for tweeting a story that falsely alleged Rubio insulted the Bible.

"We are not a campaign that is going to question the faith of another candidate for president," he said, calling Tyler "a good man" and noting that he deleted the tweet once he discovered it was false....

It's not the first time that Cruz's campaign has been accused by rivals of using questionable tactics. Cruz apologized to GOP hopeful Ben Carson earlier this month after his campaign promoted a news story suggesting that Carson was getting out of the race. Cruz's campaign has also acknowledged creating a website that used a computer program to create a fake picture of Rubio shaking hands with President Barack Obama.

The Koch brothers don't just throw their money at anybody.

I agree with him when he says that after the field thins out, he will remain the primary competition against Trump.

The repub establishment will SWARM around him, because the absolute last thing they want is for Trump to be the nominee. Unlike the Democrats with their fascination with all things Clinton, the repubs know a losing ticket when they see one. No way they let Trump take over their party.

The media will have their horse race, with Rubio edging out Clinton in the end.

Perhaps Hillary will run again in 2020, since she wants it so badly and feels entitled to lead this nation.

noticed it is the exact same way with the teabaggers about Obama. They can't stop themselves. A picture of Obama dancing with a 106 year old woman....teabagger response...Racist, he never danced with a 106 year old white woman. How come there is no WHITE history month!!

Anything can be twisted in the hate machine. They can't just read something and move on. They HAVE to spew the hate or else they will explode.

It is up to the voters as to whether or not either of them gets it.

And it is silly to suggest that Hillary will run again if she loses. If she or Bernie get nominated, and then lose the GE, then they will not be running in 2020. And neither will which ever one of them loses the primary.

If the GOP wins the 2016 GE then I think Elizabeth Warren will be the nominee in 2020.

And while I love Elizabeth Warren, I would rather we hold onto the Supreme Court, and build a liberal-to-moderate majority. With Scalia's seat going to someone like Sotomayor, we could probably overturn Casey vs. Planned Parenthood and stop all these anti-abortion laws.

The establishment and the media can prop this empty suit up as much as the want. They just have to hope that no one notices that the lazy bastard hasn't actually won a state yet and that there doesn't seem to be any real genuine excitement from the voters over his candidacy.

Like it or not, the fatheaded orange douchenozzle has this and easily at that. The GOP could have put a stop to him five years ago when he started all his birther bullshit but they chose to remain silent. They helped to create this monster and hopefully the country won't suffer the consequences of their actions (or inaction).
