BREAKING: Scott Walker's Closest Aide Revealed in Court as Source of Damaging Leak; Flips on Embattled Governor
Scott Walker's closest political aide has just been named in Milwaukee County Circuit Court Monday as the source of damaging revelations that undermine Walker's claim that he has cooperated with the John Doe criminal corruption probe into his current and former administrations.
Tim Russell, who was hired or promoted by Scott Walker even after he was fired for stealing from a state agency, was said in court Monday to have given Milwaukee Journal Sentinel's Dan Bice information that showed that, contrary to Walker's claims, Walker was stonewalling investigators all along.
The shocking revelation that Scott Walker's closest aide sought to damage Walker on the eve of Tuesday's historic recall election indicated that Russell was cooperating with a prosecution against Walker himself.
"If Republicans are wondering who is leaking information about crimes that Scott Walker may have committed, they need only look into their own house. That Scott Walker's longtime and closest political aide, who is charged with stealing from veterans, is the source of information undercutting Walker's self-serving claims of cooperation shows with crystal clarity just why Wisconsin must remove Scott Walker from office tomorrow," Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Mike Tate said Tuesday.
"Today's revelation removes any doubt that Scott Walker is the target of a criminal prosecution."

(27,985 posts)Seriously, what would it take for the Stand with Walker crowd to abandon their hero?
http://bloggingblue.com/2012/06/01/what-would-it-take/
Ive struggled with this question for some time now. What would Walker have to do to get them to see him for who he is? Lets face it, hes got the following record:
He has the worst Jobs Record in America
He oversaw corruption while County Executive
Hes lost 10,000 businesses
He has a legal defense fund
He has two high-priced legal mouthpieces
Hes been obstructing the John Doe investigation for two years
Hes the most dishonest governor in America according to PolitiFact
I think Eddie Izzard has the answer: Scott Walker would have to impale babies on spikes to lose support from the enthralled masses. And even then, I think theyd figure out a way to excuse it since he impaled babies and not fetuses.

(2,148 posts)The Koch brothers will, for sure, throw Walker under the bus, because they do not want the investigation to widen (shades of Bill Clinton) into an investigation of their bribery. But I have a feeling that it will come to light. It will be up to Holder to pursue this line, and I hope he does....

(205 posts)After the April controversy, Nickolaus pledged to step down from handling the county's election operations. But ahead of Gov. Scott Walker's recall election on June 5, the most expensive election in state history, recent evidence suggests Nickolaus still has control over the county's vote-counting. Observers and news reports from the recall's May 8 primary say Nickolaus looked like her usual self on election night. The WTMJ news station reported that Nickolaus "appeared to be very much in charge of the count." Says another observer, who asked to remain anonymous to speak openly: "On election night, Kathy Nickolaus was there, and she made it seem as if she was in control."
Republican county executive Dan Vrakas, who said "the public... lost faith in our election process in Waukesha County" because of Nickolaus' failures, has denied that Nickolaus remains in charge of election operations. But after Nickolaus' involvement in the May 8 primary, Vrakas took to the press to say he was "very disappointed" that she showed up. "I'd prefer that she wasn't here on election night but I can't ban her from the building anymore than I can ban anyone else from the building," Vrakas told the Waukesha Freeman. Vrakas said that a deputy of Nickolaus's had taken control of the vote-counting process.

(1 post)People that are voting for Walker don't pick up the paper, don't watch the news, don't look at where the real facts are... it is disgusting they watch the attack ads on a commercial that is about it... I am so nervous about tomorrow... I almost want to move there is so many people voting for him. He is a liar and a snake. He does not care about anyone except himself. He hired a felon with no experience before we found that out. He shoved his budgets through with no voice at all from the democratic side. He cut millions from schools, destroyed the unions people forget unions protect us with safety and allow us breaks I don't want to do slave labor sure they have flaws but alot better than the other. The unions had nothing to do with the budget he admitted that. I don't think Walker should get any deals with the Jon Doe... treat others how you want to be treated Walker Karmas a bitch isn't it. So many families lost jobs... Lock him up and throw away the key. Some are saying let him finish his term... In any other job you can get fired for back stabbing the company well that is what he did to WI...Wisconsin hired him now we are firing him.
