Fla. man, suspected of burglary, eaten alive by alligator while hiding from police

A Florida man suspected of committing burglaries was killed by an 11-foot alligator while hiding during a police raid.
Matthew Riggins was reported missing on November 13, but his body was found 10 days later floating in a pond in Barefoot Bay, Florida. When authorities tried to pull his remains out of the water, they were nearly attacked by an 11-foot-long alligator, Major Tod Goodyear of Barefooy said in a statement.

The guy told his girlfriend he and another guy were going to rob some homes. The police was on the lookout for him and his pal with dogs and a helicopter. He tried to escape and conceal himself in a lake. The gator did what gators do.
There is a certain karma working in this story.

Alligators can't chew. They stuff their kill under logs or in a hole in the river bank and let it "soften up". So the can tear it apart.

That's why I only swim in fresh water springs here. You can see the gators.

They drown them by keeping them underwater. Then proceed as you described.

I'm assuming a man that rapes goats.

And that's not an autocorrect screw up.

The tagline pun was "hide your kids".

...Employee there told me they think some Holy Thunderers are there and elsewhere, due to burgeoning populations. Love to see one of those guys. Beautiful walk along 3 foot high 19th century dike into the prairie. You are forewarned, esp. If you have children.

Complain as some will, there are beautiful places and good people all over the state. Our family goes back to pre-Civil War times.
