Every serious presidential candidate uses their family to promote themselves politically. When they parade their wife and well-scrubbed kids out on a stage somewhere and try to send the message "Look at me, I'm a great husband and family man, so you can trust me to be a great president", THEY are the ones who have opened the door and made their family life relevant and legitimate topics for discussion.
