Report Shows Koch Brothers Made Sales to Iran,Bribed Officials, and Falsified Data

As big funders of the Tea Party, billionaire brothers Charles and David Koch have underwritten a populist movement against oversized government and ‘excessive’ regulation.
Now a new report suggests that in their own corporation, they’ve taken a different approach to government regulation: They’ve simply ignored it.

An extensive investigation in Bloomberg Markets magazine finds that Koch Industries has made multiple ‘improper payments’ (read: bribes) to win business in Africa, India and the Middle East; rigged prices with competitors; and used foreign subsidiaries to sell equipment to Iran. (Read the full story here.)

According to the Bloomberg report, the company had a widespread culture of cheating and deception.

Sally Barnes-Soliz, who’s now an investigator for the State Department of Labor and Industries in Washington, says that when she worked for Koch, her bosses and a company lawyer at the Koch refinery in Corpus Christi, Texas, asked her to falsify data for a report to the state on uncontrolled emissions of benzene, a known cause of cancer. Barnes-Soliz, who testified to a federal grand jury, says she refused to alter the numbers.

“They didn’t know what to do with me,” she says. “They were really kind of baffled that I had ethics.”

for people who KNOWINGLY dump carcinogenic toxins in to the environment for the sake of more money - of which they already have plenty. Instead of these criminals being rewarded with power and privilege they deserve a death sentence.

Or perhaps better - a kabillion hours of community service.

What sort of human beings WILLFULLY dump carcinogenic toxins in the environment? The kind that need to be on clean up crews at Fukushima.

How great to see this on CBS! MSNBC could be said to have a liberal slant and this story could be dismissed if they'd reported it first, but for one of the three major networks to follow this is AWESOME!

And, you know they want special laws, federal funds & other perks as pay back.

Sounds to me that corruption is rampant & that Republicans support these terrorists quid pro quo.

We can send emails to our Senators and Reps and tell them to charge them with treason.

We can email and demand Eric Holder charges them with Treason

We can email Obama to charge them with Treason

We can post it on comment section of Newspaper and TV channel news sites.

We can share the story with our progressive news stations and not so progressive and call into radio stations and ask why isn't Eric Holder investigating and prosecuting ?

We can make NOISE about and encourage others to boycott Koch goods and at to our list of reasons why.. which includes Treason

Either that, or pursue civil forfeiture. I favor anything to bring down the Koch Bros.
